Saw on an internet board the following re: Phish dates at Alpine Valley Music Theater this summer:
Just spoke with the Hampton Inn in Elkhorn, WI near Alpine.... and Jimmy Buffet's production team has booked 40 rooms...... 6/30-7/1 is not true, sad rlly
I have my doubts.
As a bonus, here's a fairly sweet audience vid of The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday from Alpine '09

For we are wanting in good deeds Deal with us in charity And save us
Just passing this along. Not my recordings/channel. I'm just surprised to see this. I used to collect a lot of VHS back in the 90's and this definitely didn't circulate. Apparently it never has. Until yesterday.

No offense, and I'm well aware that somebody will say this every year, and there is some great stuff in there, but this looks like the least interesting Bonnaroo lineup yet. Keep your fingers crossed for more TBA's
This LE Deluxe 3-LP vinyl set is limited to 5,000 individually numbered copies. Junta was recorded at Euphoria Sound Studios in Revere, Massachusetts in 1987 and 1988 on 16-track 2" tape and was mixed to 1/4" stereo reels. In addition to writing and performing all the music, the band produced the album themselves.
Junta was originally self-released on cassette tape in May 1989 with packaging created by the band (included in the new vinyl package). The album was remastered and rereleased as a double CD (and cassette) in October 1992. Junta was certified Gold but, until now, has never been heard on vinyl. The vinyl release was created from the original stereo master reels with lacquers cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Each LP is pressed onto 180g audiophile grade vinyl and includes a free MP3 download of the entire album (transferred from the new vinyl master).
2,500 of the Junta LE Deluxe 3-LP sets will include a brand new Limited Edition hand-carved, hand-printed linolium block poster by Jim Pollock, created exclusively for this release. These editions will be distributed randomly at participating independently owned record stores across the country, but will be clearly marked.
This LE Deluxe 3-LP vinyl set was created exclusively for Record Store Day. Junta will be available in stores only beginning Saturday, April 21st. For a complete list of participating record stores, please click here.

"Suspend your normal grooming habits and dash on the patrouli, it's time for Phish tour. Hit the road with Julian Jakos, a precarious 23-year-old, as he quits his job at a sock factory and hops in the Isuzu Trooper of Peter Grossinger, a kleptomaniac gas station attendant who also works the night shift. As they travel across America Fall 98 chronicles Julian's arresting adventures with sex, drugs, rock n' roll, rogue cops, raver-hippy hybrids, maniacal twirlers, and mile after mile of interstate. This extraordinary read is a non-stop coming-of-age tale that's as much comical as it is disparaging, a book so saturated with drug logic you'll think you're being dosed. Not just a novel for Phish fans, Fall 98 is a universally identifiable adventure in escapism."
BETHEL MEMORIAL DAY CONFIRMED http://bit.ly/z7VVvA via PTthreadofday
Town Clerk: Hello, how may I help you?
Me: Hi, I was told you might be able to help me out. My wife and I live part time residents, and we are planning on having our daughter's wedding here in Bethel over Memorial Day weekend at our home. My wife was told yesterday that the town may be hosting some big "Rock & Roll Festival" over the holiday weekend. Needless to say, we are thinking that this may NOT be the ideal weekend to bring dozens of family and friends into town.
Town Clerk: No, sir. Theres's no rock festival. It's the band Phish. They are playing at Bethel Woods. They were here last year, and they are coming back again. They have very nice fans, and they are not a rowdy crowd. I wouldn't alter your daughter's wedding plans.
Me: Are you positive that this is taking place over Memorial Day Weekend?
